GEZE is up and running: Staff raise €4,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Association
3,500 kilometres, 4,000 euros, a good cause: GEZE has once again demonstrated at the 28th Ditzingen Race for Life that social commitment is an integral part of this Leonberg-based family business. From 17 to 26 April, staff members – whether on site at the Glemsaue in Ditzingen or taking part in the hybrid interAKTIV variant – took part in the event in aid of Mukoviszidose e.V.

More than 80 runners from the Leonberg-based specialist in innovative door, window and safety technology took part in this year’s edition of the charity run organised by the Ludwigsburg-Heilbronn regional group of the Mukoviszidose e.V. Baden-Württemberg regional association. More than 30 of them took part in the in-person run held on 26 April at the Glemsaue in Ditzingen.

The race, which has been held since 1999, will also be run in a hybrid format from 2023 onwards with the interAKTIV variant. GEZE employees also took advantage of this opportunity and were free to choose when and where they covered their kilometres: whether by running, walking, cycling or taking part in other sports. In total, the family business donated €4,000 in recognition of its employees’ hard work.
The closer to the event was the fun run on 26 April on the circuit in Ditzinger Glemsaue, accompanied by a varied programme of supporting events. The funds raised will primarily go towards medical care and research. Around 8,000 people in Germany battle the incurable disease cystic fibrosis every day.
