System for securing automated windows with IQ box Safety

The safe closing of automated ventilation windows by securing the main and secondary closing edges is also a central, very important topic. GEZE Switzerland presented its innovative system for securing automated windows with IQ box Safety.
This system not only guarantees a reliable closing function, but also makes a decisive contribution to safety when using automated ventilation technology.
- Fulfils the highest protection class requirements according to the risk assessment for power-operated windows in accordance with the Machinery Directive (protection class 4)
- TÜV-tested functional safety in accordance with DIN EN 13849-1
- Four sensor connections, can be assigned with safety edges or non-contact sensors
- Top-hat rail housing with plug-in terminals for quick and easy wiring
- Integrated push-button for manually closing the windows during servicing
- Quick and easy commissioning thanks to preset standard parameters
- Parameters can be customised with Service Terminal ST 220
The IQ box Safety ensures the safe closing of automated ventilation windows by protecting the main and secondary closing edges. If sensors detect a foreign object, the window is stopped or the closing movement is reversed. In schools and nurseries in particular, this type of finger-trap protection is necessary in order to realise automated ventilation, as children are considered to be particularly vulnerable.

From individual buildings to entire building complexes - as a facility manager or operator, it is not easy to maintain an overview of your buildings and the associated technology. This requires innovative building automation solutions. With myGEZE Control, GEZE offers the option of networking door, window and safety systems and controlling them centrally in a building management system. Either in a building management system or in GEZE's own building management system myGEZE Visu.
